Sammie Trotter

Program Officer,
East

Sammie Trotter joined the GOCO team in July 2021 as the Eastern Colorado Program Officer. Prior to this position, she was the Executive Director of the Bent County Development Foundation overseeing economic development throughout the county and working collaboratively throughout the region. She has a BBA with an emphasis in Management, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship with over 10 years of work experience in these fields and continues to implement her education as a serial-entrepreneur.

Sammie has lived throughout the state, calling Swink, Lamar, La Junta, Grand Junction, Loma, Snowmass Village, and Carbondale "home". Her time living in different regions of the state has given her a broad and unique perspective of the beauty, adventure, and unique lifestyles that Colorado has to offer from East to West and everything in between. Born and raised in the Lower Arkansas Valley, she also understands the opportunities and challenges of living in rural Colorado. In her “spare time,” she enjoys travel, weight training, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, horseback riding, mountain biking, paddle boarding, disc golfing, camping, or simply sitting by a campfire with friends and family.
