Mina has worked as a public health professional for over 20 years and currently serves as the Public Health Planner for El Paso County Public Health. In her current role, she oversees the accreditation process for the county, facilitates community collaboration, and supports efforts to improve the well-being of the county’s population. 

She is the Chair of the City of Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services Advisory Board and serves on the Board of Directors for the UCHealth-Memorial Health System. 

Mina holds a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education and a Master's in Community Health Education and Health Promotion from the University of New Mexico. She has lived in Colorado Springs since 2001, where she and her husband Jonathan are actively engaged in their community. They have two children.
