Paths to Parks Trails Initiative

GOCO’s Paths to Parks Initiative invested $8 million in closing trail gaps and providing safe access for pedestrians and cyclists on Colorado Trails. Over two grant cycles, the initiative has funded the construction of over 37 miles of trails.

By funding projects that provide free, safe, non-motorized access to local parks, open spaces and other public areas, GOCO hopes to encourage youth and families to explore the outdoor destinations in their own backyards and beyond.

Projects have included the Colorado Springs Legacy Loop, the South Platte River Trail, High Line Canal Trail, and the Colorado Front Range Trail in addition to the Salida River Trail and Gunnison regional trails.
