Planning Grants

Palisade Skate Park in Palisade, CO.

GOCO planning grants help local governments execute a wide range of planning efforts, including site-specific plans, department master plans, and strategic plans.

Who Can Apply

Local governments are eligible to apply for planning grants. Planning grants have a limit of $75,000; there is no maximum for the total project cost. Applicants must provide at least 25% of the total project cost in matching funds, at least 10% of which must be a cash match.

How To Apply

Download the most recent grant application directly from GOCO (see below) and do not re-use applications from a prior grant cycle. Review the entire application prior to starting work on it, paying particular attention to the eligibility information to ensure that your project meets all requirements. You can also request sample applications of previously successful projects and are welcome to submit a draft application up to two weeks prior to the application due date to receive feedback from GOCO staff.

All applications must be submitted online. To register, visit tinyurl.com/GOCOGranteePortal; to submit an application, use the link included in the current cycle's application form.
